Little Known Twitter Tools (from Technology Nerd)

The Technology Nerd blog (www.tnerd.com) posted a great list of little known Twitter tools. You can follow Technology Nerd on Twitter at @tnerd.

Here's the post:

Twitter is growing at a phenomenal rate and so is the eco-system around it. 10-15 new Twitter apps are being launched every single day. While most of them are MEME applications, few are really interesting and worth a shot.

I’ve put together a list of Twitter related applications which are fairly new and do serve the purpose.

Here you go….

TweetCC is one of the latest Twitter related services which lets Twitter users publish and license tweets with Creative Commons.

So how do you really license your tweets, it’s simple, tweet this msg.. “@tweetcc: I license my tweets under a Creative Commons Public Domain Dedication license”

Visit tweetcc.com to know about licensing options..

TwitterDMer: This service lets its users send customized DM’s to a follower. All you have to do is loging with your Twitter login details choose one of the customized DM’s or come up with your own and that’s it, now all your new followers will get a personal DM-greeting from you automatically.

Twisten.FM is a service which “crawls Twitter for tweets about music. Then you listen to them.” For example a message like the one in the following image gets the attention of Twisten.FM and is grabbed for a song.

Twittad lets Twitter users monetize their Twitter profiles by selling their backgrounds to the advertisers. The ads can be sold for 7 days, 15 days, 1 Month, 3 Months, etc..
All the transactions are made using PayPal.

Twickie offers a meaningful service where all the replies to a particular tweet can be viewed as a regular chat-like conversation and can also be posted on blogs with proper formatting.

twtTRIP is a wonderful service helping travelers make the most out of their travel plans. Once you post your travel plans on twtTRIP it alerts you of events at the location you are travelling at the specified time.

Not only events but it does the same for other twitterers. Once a Trip is posted you get a custom URL which can be used to add new travel plans, here is mine.

Secrettweet can come to rescue when you want to confess or tell something to someone but just cannot for whatever reasons.

Visit secrettweet.com and tweet your heart out, which is posted on @screttweet. All of it is completely anonymous.

Retweetist scans through the twitter and tracks the most RT’d messages and people. This is probably the most popular twitter based service on this list. Definitely worth checking out!

TwitterMeme crawl and collects links on Twitter then it categorizes these links and gauges their important based on who tweeted them first and how many tweets they’ve received.

CoTweet is mainly for brand and corporate. It offers a solution where multiple people can manage one single account but still holding different identities by attaching their individual signatures to tweets.

It helps companies and brands tracking their brands and feedback on Twitter.

TweetLater is a collection of twitter tools put together. TweetLater lets you send you new followers a custom Thank You note, schedule your tweets, setup Tweet alerts, etc..

Note: Thanks to Rayyan for suggesting a few Apps on the lsit.
